ELO’S POPULAR LINE OF TOUCHSCREEN MONITORS GETS MAJOR UPDATEPCAP touch technology, HDMI connectivity, expanded screen sizes and a new design in both standard and healthcare-grade models
MILPITAS, Calif.—January 11, 2018—Elo, a leading global supplier of touchscreen computing solutions, has announced the new 03-Series touchscreen monitors for healthcare settings and an expansion of the 02-Series touchscreen family for retail, hospitality and other commercial touchscreen applications. Both the 02- and 03-Series monitors deliver versatility for an array of applications and feature Elo’s TouchPro® PCAP touch technology for a tablet-like user experience. The 02-Series will now be available in sizes ranging from 10- to 27-inches and the 03-Series will have four models from 19 to 27 inches. The new touchscreen monitors are available to order today.
“Elo touchscreen monitors can be seen across the globe in restaurants, retail, industrial, hotels, airports, government and healthcare applications,” said James Witkowski, principal touch monitor product manager at Elo. “Our new 02- and 03-Series deliver exceptional value, features and design with the dependable touchscreen technology and performance needed for commercial, industrial and healthcare applications.”
Designed for healthcare, commercial and industrial use, the new 02- and 03-Series touchscreen monitors are an excellent choice for any business, with their compact form factor, long lifecycle, clean aesthetic, energy efficiency and flexible mounting options allowing for third-party VESA mounting. Included USB and HDMI connections help ensure the touchscreen monitors can quickly transform any computer into an interactive touchscreen solution. With a zero-bezel design and edge-to-edge glass, the monitors not only look sleek and modern, they also provide an easy-to-clean surface for high-traffic environments.
From magnetic stripe readers and stainless-steel handles to privacy screens, the 02- and 03-Series touch monitors deliver integrated peripheral support with an additional port for connectivity with third-party devices. The 02-Series’ peripheral support includes compatibility with optional NFC/RFID devices, fingerprint readers and barcode scanners. Both series come in a 19-inch, square aspect ratio display and 22-, 24- and 27-inch wide aspect ratio displays, with the 02-Series portfolio also consisting of 10-, 15- and 20-inch wide aspect ratio touch displays.
In addition to the features that are common between the 02- and 03-Series touchscreen monitors, the 03-Series adds features important in a healthcare setting, including IP-54 compliance and IEC60601 certification. The 03-Series healthcare-grade monitors are well-suited for use in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, nurses’ stations, doctors’ offices and pharmacies. Available in white and black, the 03-Series blends well with a healthcare aesthetic, and the option of handles enables easy reorientation of the displays, which are suited for patient appointments. The new touchscreen monitors meet rigorous safety regulations for any environment where there may be liquid and electricity within range of a patient. With IP-54 compliance on all sides of the device, protection from dust and liquid will make it useful for healthcare applications that require frequent cleaning. Further, Elo’s TouchPro PCAP touch technology is touch thru capable, enabling the option of a privacy screen to provide a physical safeguard for private health information or sensitive administrative data. Although not FDA approved as medical devices, Elo’s 03-Series touchscreen monitors are offered and intended for use as touchscreen monitors in healthcare environments.
